Ichiro Films has recently been a part a new marketing campaign with the rest of our friends at the Wedding Cinematographers Guild, and here is a short feature done by Moo Media. As is our usual for WCG outings, we learnt a lot from each other. In this case, we picked up some of Andrew’s planning skills.
We were filming till the wee hours one Friday night, and in three days, this was ready to be shared for a Canon Forum, illustrating the use of music to bring out the mood in video.
When Alvin and Zhi Li walked into my living room three months ago, I knew something was different about this couple. Their relationship dynamic is very … unique. I think you would have to know them personally to know. 
Anyway, they’ve asked that I do a short story feature about their beginnings together. The concept was easy enough, it was plain to see that they were tied by their common love for music. However, making it all fit into a short film under 10 minutes was tough!
All in all, I felt that we managed to pull it off. So enjoy this little clip, which also happens to be Ichiro Films’ first feature in full HD using DSLRs!

Ichiro Films has been keeping awfully quiet for the past weeks.
Yes, we have been fighting the quiet fight of completing our backlog, but more than that, Christopher, Swee Foong and I have been scrambling for the past few months, doing a lot of things in the background, and it is all coming into place within a month.

Thursday, January 26th at 10:03 Watching this reminds me of my first foray into filming and editing with camcorders and VHS Tape Recorders back when I was in Secondary school. Especially Spielberg's point about the reception from his first audience. I think I started feeling the thrill when I showed my first documentary of my school team's fight in the National championship to my team and I could see that it moved many of them. I now get that thrill every night after showing an audience the same day edit trailer at a wedding banquet.
1 X Editor Wanted! So we have tried various methods of finding someone who loves editing, and nothing worked. This is our last resort. Please help us to spread that the Ichiro Films family is in need of an editor. If it is a he or she, young or old person, person with or without experience, we welcome all applicants. We have no pre-defined criteria at all, except for a good attitude and a nice personality! We have a paid apprenticeship option for anyone with zero experience. So let us know if you think you know someone who has an interest to explore! 1 X Coffee on us if we've found a fit!

It's pretty cute to know that Hong Xian and Mei Qi first began their relationship with "So, is it a confirm?" Thank you both for your faith in Ichiro Films in telling your story!

Thanks to all who dropped by at BOWS to support us! It was an exhausting, but rewarding experience at the roadshow, and we have met many of our friends and partners, so at times it felt like a gathering rather than work!
