Jeremy’s vows are definitely one of the most touching ones I have heard over the years.

Shirley & Jeremy were sooo detailed with their planning that all their guest, which included the Ichiro Films team as well. Will was shooting with me, joined by Kelvin & Kailian from LightedPixels. I am sure I speak for all of us to say that we were very well taken care of during the short stay at Racha.

I am William Chua Kok How, the latest addition to Ichiro Films.

First of all, don’t mistake me with the William Chua in William Chua Photography.

I have to say so, because, I have friends who are getting married come asking me, “Are you that William Chua? Your pictures are amazing!”

And of course, previously, there were some people in the industry who were shocked when they learnt that Ichiro Films hire a new guy by the name of William Chua.

Christopher once received a call questioning, “Hey Chris, how do you manage to persuade William Chua to give up his photography and join Ichiro Films?”

Given all these confusions we had encountered (even before I was been officially announced), we knew that my real name is an obstacle.

Without a doubt, there is a need to give myself a “second” name to prevent any unnecessary confusions.

However, it is never easy for someone like me, who hasn’t had a decent alias to my belt since young.

Names like, “Toa Dao” (Big Head), “Chao-Tah” (utterly burnt), “Mud-Boy” and even “Bunny Boy”, are used on me at different stages of my life.

But still, I need to find myself a “new” name.

Enough said. I shall now officially introduce myself: I am Will Chua, an aspiring Wedding Videographer from Ichiro Films.

Looking back, I have been with Ichiro Films for about 5-6 months now.

I joined Ichiro Films in mid-May this year, and from then I have been tagging along with Why Keen and Christopher on numerous weddings.

At a start, these weddings were like a training to me, with Christopher and Why Keen constantly giving their input on my cinematography.

At the same time, these tagging alongs had also helped me to adapt myself to the life of a Wedding Videographer.

Such as not being able to enjoy Fridays with late nights whenever there is a wedding the next morning, waking up at 5am on a weekend morning when most of the people are still deep into sleep, and etc.

But, all these feelings of dread disappear, whenever I enter the bride’s home early in the morning, seeing everybody happily anticipating the big day to commence.

Mothers looking over their daughters doing make-up, with a smile which I can’t seem to be able to explain in words.

Sisters preparing the awful dishes with terrible ingredients, jam-packed with “evil” joy whenever the ideas of suffering groom and brothers come into mind.

And it’s true, happiness is contagious! It makes me happy to see happy people.

And it makes me even happier to be able to capture these precious moments for the couples to keep for life.

Till date, attending weddings have become less of a training, and more of a natural instinct to be present in an occasion filled with bliss and delight.

And all I have to do is to enjoy and immerse myself into this joyous event and capture it!

It started with post-its on her Beetle, asking if she could rent it out for weddings. This got May to thinking of turning it into a business, and it became a one-stop shop for everything you need for your wedding.

When May approached us last week to ask if she could include us on her site, we accepted immediately!

She has given us a special package for the rental of her pastel white Beetle, throwing in a custom made “Just Married” car-plate, and flower decor for Ichiro Films couples *.

I’ve spent hours talking to Jasmine and Sylvester, and it always surprises me when someone has such vivid memories of key moments in their lives. This is as good as it gets to having your memories of key events etched down in any coherent form.
