Ichiro Films has been keeping awfully quiet for the past weeks.

Yes, we have been fighting the quiet fight of completing our backlog, but more than that, Christopher, Swee Foong and I have been scrambling for the past few months, doing a lot of things in the background, and it is all coming into place within a month.

So, watch this space.

2009 came and went with a whirl of events and had been a magnificent year for all of us. Being chosen as Raffles Hotel’s 2010 Preferred Videography Company, being named by Singapore Tatler as one of the Best of Singapore in Wedding Videography, and last and but not least, starting the first wedding cinematographer’s network in Singapore, the Wedding Cinematographers Guild.

All of these sound great on paper, but we really have to thank all of our clients, if all of you had not been so beautiful, we would not have been able to create anything.

As an auspicious launch into a wonderful year, we have decided to do a quick promo for our 6 hour express package. Until Chinese New Year, the package would be going for $2000. For more details, do email us, or give either of us a call!

Videographers … we are not

What started as informal gatherings of like minded videographers over coffee has become a collective called the Wedding Cinematographers Guild. (Yes, we still use videos as our medium, despite our claims that we are not videographers.)

Argue away about the terminology used. Collectively, WCG believes that cinematography better describes our work because it transcends standard reportage, and works on better aesthetics and most importantly, storytelling.

We have been toiling for the past couple of months now to make this happen, and it is with much excitement that we can finally announce our existence!
